Last Crack has been a visionary musical force, from their first explosive four song demo at Randy's in 1988, through their 2009 celebration of their first album, Sinister Funkhouse #17, released 20 years ago. The 20th anniversary celebration by live performance was held at Scatz, Madison area, and was organized by Rokker of Maximum Ink.
From the start, as kids, Last Crack's presentation of only original music, as only they could play it, was honest in its need only to exist for the sake of its own artistic content. Without pretense or self inflicted hype, this group of talented individuals has had the time tested good fortune to find that their musical destiny was to be a band together, in the true and historically exciting sense of the word, band.
Thousands of long time fans, including myself, salute Last Crack for maintaining the dignity of creative writing, dedicated musicianship, vital stage performance, and for staying true to and focused on sharing their vision of musical art with their fans, in performance and on recordings. To be a member of Last Crack would have to be an enviable, and a once in a lifetime experience that any human being, and especially any artist, would be glad to have. Rock on, my babies!
